First Lady Cocktail from Velveteen Lounge Kitsch-en Toasts The First Ladies

The First Lady

2 oz gin
1/2 oz Pavan liqueur
1/2 oz fresh lime juice
3 dashes aromatic bitters
Club soda

Combine all ingredients in a highball glass with ice and stir gently.

 

 

 

Prawns Madra Curry from Velveteen Lounge Kitsch-en Toasts The First Ladies

Prawns Madras Curry

(Ad(Adapted from the Ford family recipe)

2 TBSP curry powder
3 TBSP lemon juice
2 cloves minced garlic
1 small chopped onion
Butter or ghee
12 - 18 prawns or large shrimp, cooked
1 TBSP coconut milk
Shredded coconut, if desired

Combine curry powder and lemon juice and set aside. Saute garlic and onion in butter or ghee for two minutes. Add curry paste, combine, then add prawns or shrimp and coconut milk. Simmer until warmed and ingredients are combined. Sprinkle with shredded coconut, if desired. Serve on picks, with crackers or as a main dish!
